I think this must have been taken in the late 30`s or 1940 as the little girl I am sure is Patricia Fox my cousin with definitely her mother Mary sitting directly behind. The lady in the straw hat looks like Mabel Cornish the nanny, whose family lived in Waterloo Road Wellington. The man with white hair in the back row is George my grandfather`s friend and chauffeur. I don't know any of the others. It looks like a ladies` cricket match. Someone may recognise some of the others.

Haymaking on the Easterland Home Farm in the late 1920`s I should think as my father Peter Fox is 3rd on left - he was born in 1919. My grandfather Gerald Fox (who was church warden at Sampford) is standing behind the three women on the right and I dont recognise anyone else. The dog belonged to the family. I love the items in these photos such as the jugs and cricket bats in the first and now the hayrakes and cart in the second. Surely there must be someone who recognises their mother, father, aunt, uncle, cousin whatever in them??! It is really lovely for me to give them back to the area as I am keen on preserving the past.
